People

At Tikamoon, we focus on ethical working practices that promote diversity and inclusion. We aim to create innovative furniture while strengthening a committed team.

People are at the heart of what we do at Tikamoon

We are based in the north of France, and we play an integral part of the community. We get involved in local initiatives, which strengthens our bond with our customers and demonstrates our commitment to a socially responsible approach. At Tikamoon, we want to create furniture that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Commitment across our entire supply chain

Our ecosystem also includes our suppliers. It is essential for us that our CSR strategy is applied at every stage of the production process. We have been working with some of our suppliers for over 15 years.

Social audits of our suppliers

Since 2022, we have been a member of the Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability (ICS) and have worked with them to audit our suppliers.

ICS is a multi-sector initiative that aims to improve working conditions and increase respect for the environment in global supply chains.

Respect for human rights & business ethics

At Tikamoon, we have formalised our commitments by producing a Code of Ethical Conduct for our employees and our commercial and non-commercial suppliers.

This code of conduct covers many topics, including tackling discrimination, harassment and corruption.

Committed to you

Customer education (eco-rating & LCA)

The eco-rating and the results of an environmental assessment of our products
We assess our products according to seven criteria. Based on these criteria, we have devised a scoring system that gives our products an eco-rating between 1 and 4 that is illustrated by leaves. This grid is designed to help you make informed product choices.

The aim of our eco-rating is to highlight and explain the criteria that are important to us when we design our products.

In 2021, we launched a major campaign to understand the environmental impact of our furniture, and to enable us to take the necessary action to reduce our impact. We are now sharing these results with you, along with our new indicators on the product page, so that you can make conscious choices.

Monitoring your satisfaction

Every day, we strive to provide you with the best service and the best products.

Listening to you is our priority. We have an international team based in France that is there to help you.

We would love to meet you

Since 2023, we have opened two shops in France, one in Paris and one in Lille. These shops are cheerful places, where we organise various functions, events and talks to discuss the important role of the forests, as well as repair workshops to help you look after your furniture so that it lasts for years and years to come.

Committed to associations

We donate our products to an association called Banque Solidaire de l'Equipement (BSE), which is run by Emmaüs Défi.

The BSE helps people that are moving into permanent accommodation but that are in difficult situations and so do not have access to essential furniture. The association helps them to buy this furniture in a very short space of time and at low prices, and gives them the chance to choose their items as they would in any shop, with the advice of our sales staff.

Fitted out with new furnishings that they have chosen and paid for, the families we help quickly transform their accommodation into a place that they feel at home in.

Thanks to these new items, they are able to settle in quickly and with dignity, helping them to escape their difficult situations for good.

In 2023, we donated more than 6,000 pieces of furniture to associations via our circular shop.
